2024 DRESS REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Dress Rehearsal is scheduled at Lake Washington High School Performing Arts Center as follows:
Participation in the on-stage Dress Rehearsal at Lake Washington High School Performing Arts Center is MANDATORY. The Dress Rehearsal allows the students to become familiar with the stage and feel comfortable with their performance and how things will run on the day of the show. Staging, music cues, entrances, exits, formations, and all other logistics are rehearsed so the students have the best experience possible on stage. This is extremely important as we are at a new venue this season.
This is a DRESS rehearsal. Dancers should come in practice tights and their costumes! Hair should be pulled back like it is for their normal weekly class. Performance hair and make-up is not required. The primary purpose of our rehearsal will be to go through staging for all classes, and to help our dancers and families understand the layout of our venue.
Given the number of participants, as well as that most schools are still in session, our tech rehearsal is split between TWO DAYS. A detailed line-up will be emailed by day. Students are to come at least 15 minutes prior to schedule rehearsal time, dressed in regular dance clothes, hair pulled back in a ponytail or bun. They can change into their recital costume upon arrival at the theatre. This way costumes are not wrinkled/Ruin in the car.
*Please note that the tech rehearsal schedule is not the order of the show.
*Dress rehearsal is mandatory for all participants in the Annual Production.
We allocate 10 minutes for each class during Dress Rehearsal. We ask that your children arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled rehearsal time, because we frequently run ahead of schedule. This will also allow for time to park, walk to the theatre and also stretch. Tech/Dress Rehearsal is run FULL out – this means that dancers will perform just as they would in the Production. This is our time to adjust for spacing, lighting, timing etc.
- Tuesday, June 18th - 4:00pm - 8:00pm
- Thursday, June 20th - 4:00pm - 8:00pm
