Our Evolution program transforms our oldest dancers's technique and artistry. This is where dancer's utilize their knowledge, technique, and artistry to build and hone their own creative voice. Focusing on individual and group performance quality, improvisational skills, and the overall dancer. Students continue through our core classes of Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop with the ability to select additional electives. Dancers and teachers work together to combine core classes with electives to maximize a dancers training opportunities.
We provide a series of core classes we believe all dancers should enroll in to build a basic foundation of dance skill and ability. These core classes are supplemented by our elective classes. Elective classes require a concurrent enrollment in one of our core classes to be eligible. These requirements are based upon the required technique necessary for success and progression in these elective classes.
** CORE CLASSES **
BALLET
JAZZ
TAP
HIP HOP
** ELECTIVE CLASSES **
LYRICAL (concurrent enrollment in ballet)
MUSICAL THEATRE (concurrent enrollment in jazz)
STRETCH & STRENGTH (concurrent enrollment in jazz)
All Classes have a required Dress Code All students are required to wear appropriate attire which adheres to the studio Dress Code for the class(es) they attend. Students who do not come in proper attire, with proper hair will not be allowed to participate in class.
For all of our classes, we are able to order everything your dancer needs! Please note, all ballet classes have a specific leotard color appropriate for each class level.
Why a dress code?
Dancers create lines and shapes with their bodies. A form fitting leotard and tights with hair pulled up into a bun (or out of face if hair is shorter), are the best uniforms to use for ballet and younger combo classes in order for instructors to see the created lines and the correct use of musculature in each of our dancers.
Having a dress code allows dancers to feel part of a group working toward a collective goal. Often times dancers can feel left out or different if not dressed in a standard dance attire similar to their peers.
In our experience, Dancers ultimately work harder, are more focused, when appropriately dressed and prepared for class. Having a specified outfit and hair style sets it apart from play clothes and play time. This is their special outfit for their special class.
