2021 PICTURE WEEK INFORMATION
WHEN: Picture week will take place Tuesday, June 1st through Saturday, June 5th. There are no regularly scheduled classes during this week, just pictures. We have scheduled class pictures as close to a dancer’s regularly scheduled class times as possible. See below for detailed picture times by class and day.
Picture week will begin on Tuesday, June 1st. There will be no pictures on Monday May 31st as Dance Elite is closed for Memorial Day Weekend Friday, May 28th - Monday, May 31st. Our Monday classes will have pictures on either Friday or Saturday. Please see detailed listing to confirm your picture time!
**Note that some pictures are listed on a different day than their regularly scheduled class due to timing needs for that class.
WHERE: At Dance Elite in Studio 1
WHAT: Each class performing in the end of year recital has a 15-25 minute time slot during picture day for both individual and group pictures. Individual photos (optional) as well as group shots will be taken during this time. Dancers should arrive no more than 10-15 minutes prior to their picture time due to capacity restrictions!
Picture Day is Mandatory for those participating in our Annual Recital. Dancers will participate in the Group picture, but are not required to take an individual picture.
ATTIRE: Students should come to the studio fully dressed with hair and make-up ready to go. Costume letters will be included in all of our dancers’ costume bags when they pick up there costumes during Costume Distribution week (May 22nd – May 27th). This letter will provide information on the required hair, make-up and shoes for each individual class. We ask that all dancers are wearing a clean, snag-free pair of recital tights (must be the tights required and provided for your costume). Please be aware that these same pair of tights will be worn on Production day and any stains/snags will show up under the lights on stage. If you'd like to purchase an additional pair, please let us know. We want to make sure that each dancer is prepared
MAKE-UP AND HAIR:
Individual and group pictures will be taken at the Dance Elite Studio the week of June 1st - 5th.
Come in costume with make-up and hair done. Dancers should wear beige eye shadow, pink blush. Mascara for older dancers. Hair styles are assigned by class. MASKS: All dancers will be masked for group pictures. We will allow for dancers taking individual pictures to opt for a mask on/off during their individual picture only. All teachers/photographers will stay masked throughout the day, and we will have dancers from the group in the hall during individual pictures to limit capacity inside during any potentially unmasked times. Dancers can wear a skin-toned mask or a mask of their choice that matches their outfits!
Photos are NOT included as part of your recital package If you would like INDIVIDUAL or GROUP photos of your dancers, they are available for purchase.
HOW TO BUY: Create an account on the Striking Image webpage, for any picture purchases. Purchase of any pictures are external to the Dance Elite recital package. All purchases are made directly through our vendor Striking Image. Each family must go to create their family account and manage their purchase through this portal. Purchase of pictures is OPTIONAL.
